Ever notice how payback doesn’t always happen when you want it to? It’s so rare that you see the guy who cut you off on the highway pulled over, or the annoying guy at the party who insisted that it’s not Don Zimmer, it’s Dom Zimmer get handed a Baseball Encyclopedia and corrected right in front of you. Well, on Thursday Brett Anderson of the A’s had one of those moments when life balanced the sheets just a little bit, and he was there to see it.

That there is what the Germans call schadenfreude. It feels good, but it only goes so far -- the Clevelander will get his car fixed, but the A’s will still have been swept out of a four-game series by the Indians.
