Last weekend proved to be a tough one for some key players in MLB, as some well-known names went down with injuries. Lets take a look at some of those injuries:
Bryce Harper, Jesus Montero to DL and other injury news
Reviewing some of the big injury news from over the weekend.

Harper to DL
The Washington Nationals placed outfielder Bryce Harper on the 15-day disabled list with bursitis in his left knee, the team announced on Saturday. Washington recalled Erik Davis to fill Harper's spot on the roster.
The 20-year-old admitted to Nationals Insider Mark Zuckerman that he has been banged up since April 29 after crashing into a wall at Turner Field. Harper also slammed into a wall on May 13 at Dodgers Stadium, which aggravated the injury.
Strasburg has lat strain
The Nationals received more bad news on Saturday when an MRI confirmed the starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg suffered a lat strain against the Atlanta Braves on Friday. Strasburg left the start after two innings, and flew back to Washington to confirm the injury.
The team is waiting to see if Strasburg can make his next start before deciding whether or not to put him on the disabled list. Washington has an off-day on Monday, so they have some flexibility.
Crawford battling hamstring injury
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford left Saturday's game against the Colorado Rockies with hamstring cramps, and the injury held Crawford out of the lineup on Sunday.
The left-fielder has swung the bat well this season, hitting .301/.358/.470. With Matt Kemp also on the disabled list, the Dodgers recalled top prospect Yasiel Puig, and are expected to start Puig on Monday.
Montero to miss 4-6 weeks
Jesus Montero suffered another setback this season, as the Seattle Mariners catcher is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a meniscus tear.
Montero struggled offensively and defensively for the Mariners this season before the team chose to option the right-handed hitter to Triple-A Tacoma. Seattle wanted Montero to focus on his hitting in Triple-A, since the former top prospect managed just .208/.264/.327 before his demotion.
McCarthy to DL with shoulder inflammation
The Arizona Diamondbacks placed Brandon McCarthy on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday with shoulder inflammation, the ninth time McCarthy has been sent to the DL in his career.
Arizona recalled Randall Delgado to fill McCarthy's spot on the roster, but is expected to promote Tyler Skaggs to start on Tuesday in place of McCarthy.
