Reds 7, Brewers 3: Joey Votto and Shin-Soo Choo each blasted two runs homers, helping Cincinnati keep pace in the NL Central. The pair each went 2-for-3 with a walk and three RBIs, while Ryan Ludwick and Todd Frazier both had two hits. Homer Bailey threw seven strong innings, allowing three runs on five hits.
Blue Jays 4, Orioles 3: Colby Rasmus smashed a two-run homer in the seventh, his second homer in two days after being activated from the disabled list. Moises Sierra plated two runs with a double, while Anthony Gose had a two-hit performance. The Orioles have lost five of their past seven.
Athletics 1, Rangers 0: Bartolo Colon shutout the Rangers for eight innings, holding Texas to seven hits while fanning seven:
Yu Darvish struck out ten over seven innings, but surrendered a Brandon Moss RBI-double in the top of the first. Darvish has been excellent this season, but has been a tough-luck loser on a number of occasions:

Marlins 3, Mets 0: Henderson Alvarez threw seven shutout innings to pick up his fourth victory and Logan Morrison drove in a pair of runs.
Pirates 2, Cubs 1: Marlon Byrd and Jose Tabata hit solo homers, providing the offense for Pittsburgh. Two runs were all Gerrit Cole needed, who held the Cubs to one run on five hits over seven innings, striking out seven. The Pirates have won five of their past six.
Royals 1, Tigers 0: Prince Fielder was thrown out at home to end the game, attempting to score from first on an Omar Infante double. Alex Gordon picked up the ball in the corner, making a quick throw to Alcides Escobar. Escobar made a strong relay to Salvador Perez, who had a great catch-and-tag to end the game:
Ervin Santana threw 6 2/3 shutout innings, holding the Tigers to five hits. Eric Hosmer hit a RBI-triple in the first, but was thrown out at home later in the inning.
Braves 2, Padres 1: Kris Medlen won his fourth straight start, shutting out the Padres for 7 2/3 innings. Medlen held San Diego to four hits, walking two while striking out five. Freddie Freeman went 3-for-3, blasting a solo homer in the bottom of the sixth.
Mariners 4, Cardinals 1: James Paxton won his second MLB start, tossing six shutout innings against the Cardinals. Franklin Gutierrez cracked a two-run double in the fifth, while Kendrys Morales added a solo homer in the eighth. St. Louis only had three hits, but Matt Carpenter hit his league-leading 50th double of the year.
Indians 8, White Sox 1: Ubaldo Jimenez threw 8 1/3 strong innings, allowing one run on eight hits. The starter fanned eight White Sox, only issuing one walk. Lonnie Chisenhall clubbed a three-run homer, while Asdrubal Cabrera and Carlos Santana each drove in a pair of runs.

Angels 6, Astros 2: Jered Weaver turned in a quality start, picking up his tenth win of the season. Weaver joined Nolan Ryan as the only Angels pitchers to reach double-digit wins in eight straight seasons.
Mets 3, Marlins 1: Daisuke Matsuzaka earned his first victory with the Mets in the second game of the double-header, holding the Marlins to one run on two hits.
Diamondbacks 9, Rockies 2: Aaron Hill and Gerardo Parra each drove in three runs, helping Wade Miley earn his 10th victory of the year.

Rays 7, Twins 0: Desmond Jennings, Evan Longoria and Yunel Escobar each had multi-hit performances, leading the Rays to their third straight win. * Rays pitchers combined to shutout the Twins after rain delayed the game for two hours in the fourth inning.
