Seattle Mariners infielders Brad Miller and Justin Smoak were both held out of Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals with injuries, reports Ryan Divish of the News Tribune.

Miller suffered a strained hamstring running to first on a sacrifice bunt Saturday. He is expected to miss a few days with the injury, with Carlos Triunfel replacing Miller at shortstop.

Wedge discusses Miller’s injury with Divish, telling the reporter:
“He’s not going to do anything today. He’s sore and tight. We’ll just take it day to day. But it’s going to be at least a couple of days.”
Smoak missed three straight games with a tight right quadriceps muscle. The first baseman has felt discomfort when attempting to run the bases, but is expected back in the lineup Monday against the Detroit Tigers.
Miller has held his own offensively since receiving his promotion to the major-leagues earlier in the season, batting .260/.314/.402 in 308 plate appearances. Smoak is in his fourth season with Seattle and has hit .244/.339/.408 in 469 plate appearances.
