Update 3:11 pm: The Nationals/Braves Monday night game has been postponed, according to Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post. It will likely be made up on Tuesday as a doubleheader, per Nationals manager Davey Johnson.

Washington Nationals players have been told they can report Nationals Park, but have not been told if they will play tonight against the Atlanta Braves, manager Davey Johnson told Bill Ladson of MLB.com.

Johnson told reporters earlier in the day that the teams had been told to stay away from the ballpark, but the teams were told around noon that they could enter Nationals Park.

Shots were fired at 8:20 a.m. ET Monday morning at the Washington Navy Yard, according to the Washington Post. Details of the event are still unclear, but at least 10 people were shot and there were reportedly as many as three shooters.

A parking lot at Nationals Park was used as a staging area for families of Navy Yard employees and others evacuated after the shooting, a U.S. Navy spokesman told David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The ballpark is just a few blocks to the west of the Anacostia River, where the Navy Yard sits; the Metro stop to reach the stadium is the Navy Yard station.
