The two men will appear in court on Sept. 26

Kevin Burge and Steven Gudknecht, both 25, managed to squeeze through metal security bars, climb through a window and make it on to to the field before police arrived and arrested the pair. Team security spotted the men on closed circuit cameras at 3:45 a.m.
The Chicago Cubs finished a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday. Both men are from Chalfont, PA, a municipality about 30 miles north of Philadelphia.
Cubs spokesman Julian Green discussed the incident, telling Sadovi:
“When you have two individuals intent on committing foul play, they are going to find a way...These were just some fans who probably wanted to take a piece of Wrigley Field back home.”
Green indicated that the team will pursue criminal charges against the men. The next court date for Burge and Gudknecht is scheduled for Sept. 26.
