St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Allen Craig is "probably" out for the remainder of the regular season, general manager John Mozeliak told Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com.
Allen Craig injury: Cardinals 1B ‘probably’ finished for rest of season
Craig has been battling a sprained right foot.

Craig sprained his foot on Sept. 4 against the Cincinnati Reds rounding first base. He has not played since the injury, but has attempted to remain active. Cardinals manager Mike Matheny informed Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that Craig is in a protective walking boot, but has done activities to keep up his arm and core strength.
The Cardinals currently do not have a timetable for Craig. The team will re-evaluate him at the end of next week.
The first baseman has been a key part of the St. Louis offense this season, batting .315/.373/.457 in 563 plate appearances. Craig has hit a scorching .454 with runners in scoring position, helping him drive in 97 runs.
Matt Adams will continue to play first base with Craig sidelined. Adams is hitting .280/.336/.496 with 15 homers in 286 plate appearances.
