San Francisco starter Yusmeiro Petit has a perfect game through seven innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The right-hander has struck out five batters and thrown only 65 pitches. The game is being played at AT&T Park in San Francisco.

This is Petit's fourth appearance -- and third start -- for the Giants in 2013. Entering Friday, he had a 3.12 ERA in 17 innings, with 23 strikeouts and only four walks. He made only one appearance for the Giants last year and hadn't appeared in the majors since 2009 before that.

San Francisco already has a no-hitter this season, as Tim Lincecum tossed one against the Padres on July 13. The team's last perfect game came courtesy of Matt Cain in 2012. The Diamondback were last no-hit by Anibal Sanchez (then of the Florida Marlins) in 2006.

Martin Prado, Aaron Hill, and Miguel Montero are due up in the 8th for Arizona. The Giants lead the game, 2-0.
