Los Angeles Angels outfielder Peter Bourjos will undergo wrist surgery and miss the remainder of the season, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Peter Bourjos injury: Angels OF needs wrist surgery, out for season
Bourjos originally injured his wrist on June 29.

Bourjos originally suffered the injury on June 29 when he was hit by a pitch on the wrist against the Houston Astros. He spent around six weeks on the disabled list with the injury, then went 5-for-46 since his return on Aug. 16.
The outfielder discussed how the injury affected him with DiGiovanna:
“Checking a swing really bothered me, and I had a tough time staying on top of pitches. I didn’t feel strong. If I have to load up on pills to get it to be manageble to where I can put a swing on the ball that is somewhat comfortable, that’s not good.”
Bourjos hit .274/.333/.377 in 196 plate appearances this season. He was batting .313 with a .370 on-base percentage before straining his hamstring on April 29.
