Royals vs. Orioles, 2014 ALCS Game 1: Time, TV schedule, live stream and starting pitchers
The American League East champion Orioles play host to the Wild Card champion Royals in Baltimore.

While the Royals hadn't made the playoffs in 29 years, they last reached the World Series in 1985 (and won). By contrast, the Orioles haven't made the World Series since 1983, and they'll continue their quest to do so by hosting Kansas City for Game 1 of the American League Championship Series in Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore.
This will be the first time since 1997 that the Orioles have reached this round and they'll have Chris Tillman toeing the rubber to kick off the ALCS. He posted a 3.34 ERA in 34 starts during the regular season, and won his only playoff start this year, going five innings and striking out six against the Tigers.
Opposite Tillman will be James Shields, who has two postseason starts to his name this year, compiling a 4.91 ERA across 11 innings, striking out 12 and walking four. One thing to watch for Shields will be his propensity for giving up the long ball, something he's done three times this postseason already, despite pitching in pitcher's parks in both games. Still, these are the games that the Royals acquired Shields for, and they're not going to deviate from that plan.
The Royals won four of seven games between the two clubs in 2014, including taking two of three in Baltimore.
