An error by the Royals' Kelvin Herrera nearly derailed Kansas City's Game 2 after he failed to touch first base while trying to force out Nick Markakis on a routine grounder. He would then load the bases in a 4-4 tie ball game.
Kelvin Herrera misses first base
The Royals’ reliever nearly cost his team the lead after forgetting to step on first to get out Nick Markakis in bottom of seventh.

Herrera was able to get out of the inning unscathed, as Markakis failed to score on a single by Nelson Cruz and Lorenzo Cain made a solid play in right on a J.J. Hardy flyball, he may not be so luck next time.
