Tigers, Orioles set lineups for Game 2 of ALDS

Justin Verlander will take on Wei-Yin Chen.

The Orioles would like to take a commanding 2-0 American League Division Series lead. The Tigers would like that to not happen. Here are the lineups both teams will use:

Today's Lineups

DETROIT TIGERS BALTIMORE ORIOLES
Ian Kinsler - 2B Nick Markakis - RF
Torii Hunter - RF Alejandro De Aza - LF
Miguel Cabrera - 1B Adam Jones - CF
Victor Martinez - DH Nelson Cruz - DH
J.D. Martinez - LF Steve Pearce - 1B
Nick Castellanos - 3B J.J. Hardy - SS
Alex Avila - C Ryan Flaherty - 3B
Andrew Romine - SS Caleb Joseph - C
Rajai Davis - CF Jonathan Schoop - 2B
Justin Verlander - RHP Wei-Yin Chen - LHP

That gap between the ninth-place hitter and the starting pitcher is there because the pitchers don’t hit, if you can believe it.

Justin Verlander is 9-2 against the Orioles in his career, with a 3.43 ERA, which means less than the normal microsplit, considering the old Verlander is mostly gone. Chen is 1-0 against the Tigers, with a 4.91 ERA, which means almost nothing because we’re talking about 11 innings.
