Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun left in the fifth inning of the team's game against the Braves on Thursday with tightness in his right side, according to a team release.
Ryan Braun leaves game with injury, Jimmy Rollins approaches club hits record
A star aggravated a prior injury, a wily veteran is closing in on his club’s all-time hits record and wild weather conditions forced the suspension of a key NL West game.

The injury could be related to the ribcage strain that landed him on the disabled list in late April. Since returning on May 13, Braun is just 7-for-33 at the plate, including 0-for-2 on Thursday before being replaced by Elian Herrera.
Braun began the season on a tear, bouncing back from missing most of last season by hitting .318/.361/.591 in April. The Brewers entered Thursday 19-11 in games started by Braun and 9-8 in games without him.
Though Milwaukee is in first place in the National League Central, injuries are starting to become a concern. Staff ace Yovani Gallardo exited the team's game on Tuesday in Atlanta with an ankle injury and is in danger of missing his next start, according to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Reliever Jim Henderson and third baseman Aramis Ramirez are currently on the DL, though both could return by the end of the month.
Rollins moves into 2nd on Phillies' all-time hit list
Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins' third-inning single against the Marlins on Thursday enabled him to pass Richie Ashburn for second place on the team's all-time hit list.
Rollins has 2,218 hits in a Phillies uniform and is within 16 of Mike Schmidt, who is No. 1 on the list with 2,234. The 35-year-old switch hitter has 43 hits in 44 games this season, a pace that would allow him to surpass Schmidt sometime in mid-June.
Heavy rain, hail, lightning, tornado warnings ... the weather in the Denver area during the series finale between the Rockies and Giants on Thursday had it all. The game was delayed for 1:22 in the third inning and a second delay in the bottom of the sixth eventually resulted in the game being suspended with the score tied, 2-2. The contest won’t be resumed until the Giants return to Colorado on Sept. 1.
Both teams had flights to catch, so the decision to call the game was ultimately the correct one. However, you never would have thought the above weather conditions were prevalent earlier in the day based on this photo taken not long after the park emptied:
