— MLB (@MLB) September 30, 2014 Geovany Soto gets the start over Derek Norris, mostly to counteract the Royals’ running game. Don’t even think about it, Billy Butler. Norris didn’t start the last two games of the regular season, either, though he did DH against left-handed pitchers against the Angels.
The Royals are going with the same lineup they used for each of the last eight games of the regular season. It should be noted that replacing Butler with Francisco Peña and Alex Gordon with Lane Adams, the Royals could have had a lineup that spelled “EACH A PIMP.” Next time, fellas. Next time.
