Monday brings us one final chance at wall-to-wall baseball, with four games on the MLB playoffs schedule, including two division series that could be decided in the state of Texas.
2015 MLB playoff schedule: 2 Division Series could end Monday
From 1 p.m. until around midnight or so, experience baseball.
The Houston Astros took the lead in their series with a win over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday with a 4-2 win behind Dallas Keuchel, and can advance to the American League Championship Series with a home win on Monday.
The Texas Rangers had a chance to close out their series against the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday night, but Troy Tulowitzki homered and drove in four runs to keep Toronto alive. Texas turns to Derek Holland on Monday afternoon with another chance to advance, facing R.A. Dickey for the Jays.
After a travel day on Sunday, both National League Division Series are back, starting with Jake Arrieta and the Chicago Cubs hosting the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 3 at Wrigley Field.
That series is 1-1, as is the series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets, which shifts to Citi Field in New York. Everyone and their brother will boo Chase Utley after his takeout slide on Saturday that broke shortstop Ruben Tejada's leg.
After Monday, the most games in any one day during the postseason is two. So, sit back, take the day off if you have to, and relax on the couch while watching potentially 11-12 hours of baseball.
