The Dodgers were 55-26 at Dodger Stadium in the regular season.
Thursday night's series finale features a pitching matchup of the highest order, with major league ERA leader Zack Greinke (1.66) starting for the Dodgers, and Jacob deGrom (2.54, sixth in MLB) starting for the Mets.
In Game 1, deGrom struck out 13 in seven scoreless innings to out-duel Clayton Kershaw. The next night, Greinke allowed two runs in seven innings as the Dodgers pulled even. In all four games of the series, the team with the starting pitcher who has lasted longer has won.
The Dodgers were 55-26 at home in 2015.
Wednesday night saw the Blue Jays and Royals both win at home to finish off their American League Division Series. One day earlier, the Chicago Cubs finished off the St. Louis Cardinals at home with a win in the fourth game of their NLDS.
The Cubs await the winner of Thursday night’s Dodgers-Mets tilt, traveling to open the National League Championship Series on the road beginning Saturday night in either Los Angeles or New York.
