Mets vs. Royals 2015 World Series schedule, game times and more
28 years after David Cone was traded for Ed Hearn, the Mets and Royals meet in the World Series.

The Royals, the first team to appear in back-to-back World Series since the 2010-2011 Texas Rangers, beat the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series on Friday night to win the pennant. The Mets swept the Chicago Cubs in four games in the NLCS, clinching their first pennant in 15 years on Wednesday night in Chicago.
This is the fourth pennant for Kansas City, along with 1980, 1985 and 2014. The Mets are back in the World Series for a fifth time, joining 1969, 1973, 1986 and 2000.
The Mets and Royals have only met three different seasons in interleague play, the last a three-game series in 2013. Kansas City holds the all-time advantage in the series, 5-4.
The World Series will be televised by Fox, with Joe Buck calling play-by-play, joined in the booth by analysts Tom Verducci and Harold Reynolds, as well as reporters Ken Rosenthal and Erin Andrews.
