Andrew McCutchen cut his glorious long hair

It’s all gone. Well, like, 90 percent of it is all gone.

Andrew McCutchen is known for many things, but the two that stick out the most are his general awesomeness on a baseball field and his long hair. Those locks are no more, as Cutch had scissors taken to his glorious hair:

In case you’ve forgotten what McCutchen looked like prior to the new do:

We know this is tough to think about, but what if McCutchen’s source of power was his hair? He hasn’t been cutting it for years, and he’s only been getting better the longer it grows. He led the league in on-base percentage and OPS+ last year, won the MVP in 2013, and the Pirates were talking about extending him even further into the future. What if dude just Sampsoned himself out of the rest of his peak and ruined the Pirates in the process?

The new look is working for him, though, we’ll give him that.
