Spring training viewing guide: Full schedule commences Wednesday

Baseball is back (for most teams)!

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

A full day of baseball is on tap for the first time in more than five months. Of the 30 big league clubs, 22 will be in action on Wednesday, and 20 of those teams will participate in games against other MLB squads.

Both 2014 World Series teams and two of the most overhauled teams in the league are among those in action in Arizona. Over in Florida, two teams that faced each other in the American League Division Series last year will square off in one of the five games taking place in the Sunshine State.

Here’s the full schedule for Wednesday (all times Eastern). Radio feeds for all games are available on MLB.com unless otherwise noted.

Grapefruit League

Tigers vs. Orioles, 1:05 p.m., no TV -- The Tigers walloped the Orioles, 15-2, in the spring training opener for both teams on Tuesday.

Mets vs. Braves, 1:05 p.m., no TV -- The Mets enter 2015 as a possible postseason contender while the Braves are, in a roundabout way, rebuilding.

Phillies vs. Yankees, 1:05 p.m., YES Network/MLB.tv -- Highly touted Yankees prospect Aaron Judge ensured the Grapefruit League opener between the two teams on Tuesday finished in a tie by hitting a three-run homer.

Blue Jays vs. Pirates, 1:05 p.m., no TV -- The Pirates won the first game of the back-to-back, 8-7. Powerful shortstop Jung Ho Kang, whom Pittsburgh signed out of the Korean Baseball Organization this offseason, homered.

Twins vs. University of Minnesota, 7:05 p.m., FS North/MLB.tv -- The Twins hope to avoid becoming the first team to lose to a college squad since ... the Phillies over the weekend.

Cactus League

White Sox vs. Dodgers, 3:05 p.m., SportsNet LA/MLB.tv -- Jose Abreu and Yasiel Puig (hopefully) on the same field? Yes, please.

Reds vs. Indians, 3:05 p.m., Sports Time Ohio/FS Ohio/MLB.tv -- The Reds clobbered the Tribe, 10-0, in one of only two Cactus League contests on Tuesday.

Royals vs. Rangers, 3:05 p.m., no TV -- The defending AL pennant winners take on perhaps 2014's most disappointing (and injury-riddled) team.

Athletics vs. Giants, 3:05 p.m., no TV -- The World Series champs will try to avenge a 9-4 loss to the A's in their spring training opener.

Padres vs. Mariners, 3:05 p.m., ROOT Northwest -- Both teams made a ton of noise during the offseason. It's finally time to see how they look on the field.

Brewers vs. UW-Milwaukee, 3:05 p.m., no TV or radio -- Mike Fiers, one of the breakout performers from last season, gets to toy with a college lineup.

Diamondbacks vs. Rockies, 3:10 p.m., no TV -- New acquisition Rubby De La Rosa takes the mound for the D-backs in a battle of baseball's two worst teams in 2014.
