The 2015 MLB Draft commences on Monday with the first round, Competitive Balance Round A, second round and Competitive Balance Round B.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will get things started a few minutes after 7 p.m. ET with the first pick in the draft. Arizona finished a league-worst 64-98 in 2014 to secure the top selection. The D-backs have drafted first overall once before, taking high school shortstop Justin Upton with the top pick in 2005.

As per league rules, the Houston Astros have the No. 2 pick after failing to sign last year's top overall selection, Brady Aiken. Houston will pick again at No. 5 due to finishing with the fourth-worst record in baseball last season.

Toward the end of the first round, 10 teams will make compensatory selections as a result of losing qualified free agents during the offseason. The first of two Competitive Balance rounds -- which include picks given to teams ranking in the bottom 10 of the league in market size and/or payroll -- will take place prior to Round 2. Day 1 of the draft will culminate with the second Competitive Balance round.
