Little League World Series 2015 schedule for Saturday

A look at the schedule on Saturday for the 2015 Little League World Series, which features four elimination games from Williamsport, Pa.

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

We have our first day of elimination games at the 2015 Little League World Series, with four games on tap for Saturday featuring the eight teams that lost in Friday’s busy tournament opener.

Though the tournament is double-elimination, the four teams that lose on Saturday won’t be officially done for the Little League World Series. That is thanks to the Consolation Games A and B, to be played on Monday and Tuesday, ensuring that each one of the 16 teams in Williamsport plays at least three games.

Oregon and Canada both lost, 1-0, in a pair of outstanding pitchers duels on Friday, and look to get back on track on Saturday against Kentucky and Taipei, respectively. Kentucky lost, 14-2, to California in just four innings on Friday.

Rhode Island will look for its first hit of the Little League World Series on Saturday against Missouri, after getting blanked by Alex Edmonson of South Carolina on Friday.

Three of the four games on Saturday will be televised by ESPN, with the second game -- Oregon vs. Kentucky -- televised by ABC. All four games are available online and via mobile by WatchESPN.
