Josh Donaldson guests on History Channel’s ‘Vikings’ and looks like a natural

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson had a breakout season in 2015, winning the American League MVP in his first season with his new team. But he seemed most excited about getting to play a guest role on the historical drama "Vikings" on the History Channel, a role he looks born to play.

Donaldson, who hit .297/.371/.568 with 41 home runs with Toronto, got to be on the show, which films in Ireland and Canada. Not only did he get to adorn the full viking garb, with filming wrapping on Monday, but he also got to meet fellow Canadian Alexander Ludwig, who plays Bjorn Ironside on the show.

The beauty of Donaldson’s appearance on the show is that, given his beard, he fits right in with the rest of the cast. Without knowing Donaldson played professional sports for a living, could you pick him out of this lineup?

Season 4 of “Vikings” premieres on History Channel on Feb. 18.
