The National League Championship Series heads west to Los Angeles as the Dodgers look to pull ahead in the series after winning Game 2 Sunday night. The Cubs, on the other hand, will look to score at least a few more runs in Game 3 after being shut out by the Dodgers’ duo of Clayton Kershaw and Kenley Jansen.

Adrian Gonzalez provided all the offense the Dodgers needed in Game 2 and will look to power them past the Cubs again Tuesday.

Game 3 will start Tuesday at 8:08 p.m. ET on FS1. Joe Buck and John Smoltz will be in the booth calling the game and Ken Rosenthal will be reporting from the field.
The Cubs will be sending Jake Arrieta to the mound, while the Dodgers will start 36-year-old southpaw Rich Hill. Arrieta scattered six hits while allowing two runs and striking out five in six innings in NLDS Game 3. On the season, Arrieta posted a 3.10 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP as a follow-up to his 2015 NL Cy Young Award-winning performance.
Hill has experienced a late-career breakout in 2016, with a 2.12 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 110⅓ innings this season. Hill missed time this year with a recurring blister on his finger, but the journeyman southpaw has put up almost undoubtedly the best season of his career. Since joining the Dodgers at the trade deadline, Hill sustained his impressive first-half performance, putting up a 1.83 ERA and a sparkling 0.79 WHIP in six starts. Hill also started both Game 2 and Game 5 of the NLDS, but did not make it out of the fifth inning on either occasion, allowing five runs in seven total innings.
For the Dodgers, Adrian Gonzalez has been an integral part of the team’s offense early in this series. The veteran first baseman has a six-game hitting streak this postseason, including the game-tying single that plated two in the eighth inning of Game 1 and a home run in the second inning of Game 2 that stood as the only run in a 1-0 contest. Gonzalez, who hit .285 with 18 home runs and 90 RBI this season, continues to contribute in run-producing situations.
The Cubs have been able to rely on clutch hitting throughout this postseason, as pinch-hitter Miguel Montero followed the NLDS heroics of Javier Baez and Kris Bryant by launching a grand slam that ultimately proved to be the difference in Game 1 of the NLCS.
Both teams’ bullpens have played key roles as well. The Dodgers have seen their starters go five or fewer innings in all but two games this postseason, the exceptions being Clayton Kershaw’s outings in NLDS Game 4 and on Sunday night. The Cubs have done a better job earning quality starts, as three of their six games have seen their starters go six innings or longer while allowing three earned runs or fewer. However, they’ve still seen their bullpen play a major role, including in Game 2 of the NLDS after Kyle Hendricks left with an injury and in Game 3 when the Cubs and Giants battled in a 13-inning affair.
