Red Sox vs. Indians 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch ALDS Game 2 online

The Cleveland Indians host the Boston Red Sox in the second game of their American League Division Series on Friday afternoon at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

TBS will televise Game 2 of this series, a 4:38 p.m. ET start on Friday, with Ernie Johnson on play-by-play alongside analysts Ron Darling and Cal Ripken Jr. plus reporter Matt Winer.

Corey Kluber gets the start in Game 2 coming off a strong season, going 18-9 with a 3.14 ERA and 227 strikeouts for the Indians. But he is also coming off a hamstring strain and hasn’t pitched since Sept. 26. That layoff made him unlikely to be able to pitch on three days rest, so Trevor Bauer got the call in Game 1 instead.

“Trying to bounce back on three days rest after not pitching in 10 days is -- first of all, neither of us can pitch on three days rest, so we can’t tell how we’re going to respond to it,” Kluber told reporters on Thursday. “With all those factors in, we thought it was better for him to bounce back after short rest.”

David Price was 17-9 with a 3.99 ERA in his first season with the Red Sox after signing a seven-year, $217 million contract. He led the majors with 230 innings pitched, and finished fourth in the AL in strikeouts with 2.28, one more than Kluber.

But Price is also 2-7 in the postseason, a number he said he doesn’t think much about.

“I want to help this team win, that’s the bottom line. That’s the mindset I want to take out there on the fifth day. And that’s the mindset I want my teammates to have, as well. I take the mound, I want us to win,” Price told reporters on Thursday. “And tomorrow I want to go out there and win. I want to be dominant. I want to have that really good postseason game, and I know that I’m capable of doing that and I’m excited to pitch.”
