As expected, and as we were told yesterday, Corey Seager is back in the second spot in the Dodgers lineup. He notched two hits against Astros’ pitching in Game 1 and with Justin Verlander on the mound in Game 2, Dave Roberts is probably hoping that trend continues.

In other changes, Joc Pederson is replacing Enrique Hernandez in left field to start the game and Chase Utley is at second base instead of Logan Forsythe.

On the Astros’ side of things, nothing has changed. They only managed three total hits against Clayton Kershaw’s masterful performance and that’s going to have to change in Game 2 against Rich Hill if they want to have hopes of putting up more than one run.

Below, both teams’ rosters for the second game and how they performed in Game 1.

On the Dodgers side:

Chris Taylor, CF (1 for 3, .333)
Corey Seager, SS (2 for 3, .667)
Justin Turner, 3B (1 for 4, .250)
Cody Bellinger, 1B (0 for 3, .000)
Yasiel Puig, RF (0 for 3, .000)
Joc Pederson, LF (N/A)
Austin Barnes, C (1 for 3, .333)
Chase Utley, 2B (N/A)
Rich Hill, P (N/A)

And on the Astros side of things:

George Springer, CF (0 for 4, .000)
Alex Bregman, 3B (1 for 4, .250)
Jose Altuve, 2B (1 for 4, .250)
Carlos Correa, SS (0 for 3, .000)
Yuli Gurriel, 1B (0 for 3, .000)
Brian McCann, C (0 for 3, .000)
Marwin Gonzalez, LF (0 for 3, .000)
Josh Reddick, RF (1 for 3, .333)
Justin Verlander, P (N/A)

The margin for Game 1 was only one home run, so these lineup tweaks could be make or break for the Dodgers when it comes to repeating their first game success.

How short is Jose Altuve, really? A very serious investigation
