How can I watch Mets-Nationals online?

The television broadcast will be streamed online through WatchESPN.

Who is pitching?

Reigning National League Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer gets the start for the Nationals, looking to improve on an already hot start to his 2017 season. The right-hander has a 1.37 ERA in three starts, with 24 strikeouts in 19⅔ innings of work.

Zack Wheeler starts for the Mets, making his fourth start of the season after missing the last two years with Tommy John surgery and a flexor strain in his right arm.

Nationals on fire

This weekend is the first of six meetings and 19 games in 2017 between these two rivals, both expected to vie for the National League East crown. The Nationals took the first two games in New York, first outlasting the Mets in an 11-inning marathon on Friday night. On Saturday, Gio Gonzalez took a no-hitter into the sixth inning in a 3-1 Nationals victory, Washington’s fifth straight win.

Trea Turner was activated from the disabled list on Friday, and has paid immediate dividends to the Nationals. He walked with the bases loaded to drive home the winning run on Friday, then doubled and singled in Saturday’s win.

Bryce Harper homered and doubled on Friday, then walked three times on Saturday. He is hitting like his 2015 MVP season in the early going this year, hitting .393/.526/.836 with seven home runs and 20 RBI through Saturday.
