Kramer Robertson has had a rough go of it in Omaha, with errors compounded on errors and a drowsiness at the plate unbefitting his .413 season batting average. He bleached his hair during the bracket round, though, and that’s made for at least some improvement.

Anyway, Robertson isn’t totally a lost cause, making a crucial catch at second to grab the frame-sealing out in the top of the first, then repeating the feat in the top of the third. He also grabbed an impressive popup along the third base foul line in the fifth, so he’s had a busy day.
To say nothing of him stabbing this low lacer into the second-third base gap in the top of the sixth.
That ended the Gators’ batting in the sixth, and it’s a mercy that the play didn’t require him to throw to first, inasmuch as he’s been having trouble transferring the ball to his throwing hand these recent weeks.
LSU began the sixth inning down, 3-0, but the Tigers have plugged through a pair of run to bring the score to 3-2. Every run will count in this series, which features two of the best pitching staffs in college baseball.
As it stands, Florida holds a 4-2 advantage in the top of the seventh.
