Justin Turner, Mike Moustakas win 2017 MLB All-Star Game Final Vote

The results of the Final Vote are in, and a pair of third baseman earned a trip to Miami for the MLB All-Star Game, to be played next Tuesday at Marlins Park. Justin Turner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Mike Moustakas of the Kansas City Royals won the vote for the 32nd and final All-Star roster spots for the National League and American League, respectively.

Turner is hitting .384/.473/.571 with 17 doubles and eight home runs in 61 games this season, leading the National League in batting average and on-base percentage. This is the first All-Star appearance for the 32-year-old Turner.

Moustakas has already set a career high with 25 home runs this season, and Kansas City still has 78 games remaining. The Royals third baseman is hitting .275/.309/.570. Moustakas was also an All-Star in 2015, and also won the Final Vote that season.

In the National League, Turner beat out Chicago Cubs third baseman and reigning MVP Kris Bryant, Washington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon, Miami Marlins first baseman Justin Bour, and Colorado Rockies first baseman Mark Reynolds.

Moustakas in the AL beat out Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts, New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius, Texas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus, and Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Logan Morrison.

The All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday night, July 11 in Miami.
