Tim Tebow is still here, and he is still doing Tim Tebow things like being exceedingly nice to every fan he sees and smiling that gosh-darn sheepish smile while he heads to the batter’s box because he’s just so happy to be playing the game of baseball.
Tim Tebow said hello to a young fan with autism, then immediately jacked a home run
Tebow’s tales of good-heartedness continue apace.

The latest example of Tebow filling the “heartwarming gestures” quota for the entire St. Lucie Mets squad happened on Thursday, when he greeted a young fan before heading to the plate.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the interaction happened back on July 29. However, it appears the video was only released recently for everyone to enjoy.
During the sweet moment, Seth Bosch (then 9 years old) got Tebow’s attention during a delay that was due to a conference on the mound, and Tebow went over to the young boy.
Bosch suffers from neurofibromatosis and has high-functioning autism, and his family says that it’s tough for him to play sports due to the former condition that causes tumors to grow on nerve tissue.
So meeting Tebow was a dream, as you can see in the above video.
They shook hands, exchanged a quick hello, and then Tebow got back to work. Which is when he immediately jacked a three-run home run.
Of course he did — he’s Tim Tebow!
The boy’s mother told the Times,
“When Seth came back to his seat, he was crying. And then Tim hit the homer. I started crying, too. How does that happen? I think God brought Seth and Tim together.”
Tebow’s stint in baseball gets maligned by some and over-analyzed by others, but at the end of the day when moments like this happen, can you really be cynical about it?
