Rafael Devers has been lighting it up for the Red Sox ever since his call-up before the trade deadline, and Sunday against Boston’s rival was no different.
Rafael Devers wants to meet the Yankees fan in that viral home run video
The Red Sox rookie said the home run was the most exciting part of his career ... for now.

For anyone who missed it, Devers hit a game-tying home run that was all but impossible against Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman, and a New York fan took a video of his entire reaction — ranging from surety that it was an out to absolute despair when the ball left the ballpark.
Devers told local Boston station WEEI that the home run was his most exciting baseball moment “for now.” Smart of him to count on his career only getting better from this point.
He also revealed that he was shown the video in the locker room right after the game, and has watched it at least 10 times since.
Most importantly, Devers says that he wants to meet the fan in the video. Whether that fan wants to be introduced to Devers in real life (his spirit was pretty crushed because of that home run after all) remains to be seen.
The Red Sox return to New York for a four-game series at the end of the month, which would be a prime chance to make something happen between Devers and a hardcore fan of Boston’s biggest rival.
Someone should absolutely make that happen. Otherwise what is the internet good for?
