We are down from 16 to just six teams remaining in the 2017 Little League World Series, and that number will be trimmed to the final four with a pair of elimination games at Lamade Stadium in Williamsport on Thursday.

ESPN will televise both games on Thursday, beginning at 3 p.m. ET, with online streaming available through WatchESPN.
Japan and North Carolina already reserved spots in Saturday’s championship games on their respective sides of the bracket, and Thursday will determine their opponents.
Up first is the international side of the bracket, where Canada will battle Mexico at 3 p.m. ET. Canada showed a powerful offense, winning its first two games with a total of 19 runs scored, but was blanked by Japan, 10-0 on Wednesday. Mexico has had a tougher road, first falling to Venezuela in their opening game. It has won three straight over Italy, South Korea, and Venezuela to get to Thursday.
On the United States side of the bracket, another strong offense in Connecticut will play against Texas at 7:30 p.m.
Connecticut is 3-1 so far in the double-elimination tournament, and has scored 36 runs in its four games, including a 12-2 win over New Jersey on Wednesday, avenging a tournament-opening loss.
Texas suffered an extra-inning loss to undefeated North Carolina on Wednesday night on a walk-off error in the seventh.
