Well, isn’t that something? On Monday night, Bryce Harper hit his 150th career home run in the fourth inning against the Marlins. He is 24 years and 295 days old.
Bryce Harper hit his 150th career home run...at the exact same age Mike Trout hit his
Harper and Trout’s careers continue to run parallel to each other.

That statistic is pretty impressive, and would be whether or not there was something else cool about it, because 150 homers before you turn 25 isn’t anything to scoff at.
Of course, we wouldn’t be writing and publishing this post if there weren’t something else cool about that statistic, and the headline probably gave it away for you already.
Mike Trout happened to also hit his 150th home run when he was 24 years and 295 days old. Which wouldn’t be so incredible if it weren’t for the fact that both players have long been compared to each other.
In fact, it seems that no major milestone can be reached by either player without a note of comparison about the other.
Trout did hit number 150 in less games than Harper, at game No. 701 of his career, while Harper reached it in game No. 759. Even so, what remains true is that both players remain outsized talents at a young age, and people we will be talking about to our children and grandchildren.
This is just another statistic that will serve as an entertaining footnote for two very impressive careers.
