Freddie Freeman threw the cutest Willy Wonka-themed birthday party for his son Charlie

Adorable!

For his son’s first birthday, the BravesFreddie Freeman went all out with the party theme. How can you not go all out like this when the theme is so amazing though?

Freeman and his wife Chelsea threw a Willy Wonka-themed birthday party for Frederick Charles Freeman II (aka Charlie) over the weekend, and they really committed. Throwing a Wonka party because their son is named Charlie is so cute and perfect, especially because there are only so many times where you can get away with choosing the theme for your infant’s party and their first birthday is one of those times.

You can see just how much they committed thanks to Chelsea’s Instagram, where she posted a photo of their family on the special day.

There’s so much to love about this picture, not the least of which is the look on little Charlie’s face. It’s like he got a Golden Ticket to Wonka’s factory and is now casing the place like it’s an Ocean’s Eleven casino and not a candy creation castle.

He’s a treasure.

Freeman also committed, with full Willy Wonka garb. Extra credit for the hat and wig on top of the wardrobe.

It all kind of makes him look like a young, hip Wonka who’s been rebooted for a new franchise where kids aren’t horrified of him and his Oompa Loompas because he just wants to play some video games and make candy all day.

They didn’t skimp on the sweets and the thematic decorations either, with the theme extending to a colorful cake, a “chocolate river” in the pool, and sweets everywhere.

This is an amazing birthday for any age, let alone a one-year-old. Can we have one of these? Doesn’t have to be for any special occasion, just an excuse to dress up like Willy Wonka and eat a lot of candy is fine!
