Cleveland’s streak of not trailing in a baseball game for a week straight, 67 innings total, came to an end on Tuesday night.
Indians’ 67-inning streak of not trailing in a game comes to an end
Their win streak hasn’t been snapped yet, though.

In the first inning against the White Sox, the Indians let up four runs and could only put up three of their own in that frame, so the streak ended early in the game. The win streak isn’t in jeopardy right now, though, and that’s the more impressive streak they have going.
They weren’t trailing against Chicago for long, as they immediately tied things up in the following inning and then took the lead with a few more runs in the third.
During its current 12-game win streak, Cleveland has outscored opponents 84-21. Both times the Indians fell behind, the last instance of this coming last Monday, they almost immediately came back to tie things up and soon enough take the lead.
With a win against Chicago, Cleveland would be within a week or so of tying the American League record of 20 victories straight — set by the memorable 2002 Oakland A’s team.
After this series against the White Sox, they face the Orioles and the Tigers in their next two series before running into the Royals on Sept. 14. With how the Orioles have looked for much of the year and the player dump the Tigers just completed, tying or beating the streak might not be that unrealistic.
