Chris Taylor saved the tying run from scoring with a breathtaking catch in the fifth inning of an intense Game 7 of the National League Championship Series at Miller Park in Milwaukee.
Chris Taylor robs Christian Yelich with a tremendous catch to preserve the Dodgers’ NLCS Game 7 lead

The presumptive National League MVP came to the plate for the Brewers with Christian Yelich looking to drive home Lorenzo Cain from second base with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Dodgers pulled starter Walker Buehler with the left-hander due up, opting for 22-year-old Julio Urias instead with a 2-1 advantage.
Urias pitched in just four major league innings in September after shoulder surgery 16 months ago, and he pitched in Game 6 as well. Saturday marked the first time Urias has ever pitched on back-to-back days as a professional.
He got ahead 0-2 before Yelich tattooed a ball 97.8 mph headed for the wall in left center field. But Taylor managed to track the ball down, lunging with his left hand to haul it in as a jubilant Cody Bellinger leapt behind him.
Taylor’s defensive versatility has been a huge asset for the Dodgers the last two seasons, moving all over the infield and outfield as needed. He was in left field to make this great catch, but started Game 7 at second base. Taylor has played at least two positions in five of the seven games in this NLCS, shifting between second base, left field and center field.
Now he has a signature moment to go with it.
