Chris Sale eating pizza and other amazing things caught on camera during the Red Sox team trip to Bruins-Maple Leafs

The B’s lost, but the Sox had fun.

In the aftermath of back-to-back losses in Oakland over the weekend, one of those a no-hitter, the Red Sox decided to bounce back from their first series loss of the season by taking a team trip to the Bruins-Maple Leafs game on Monday night in Toronto before their series against the Blue Jays kicks off Tuesday.

Hanley Ramirez posted a group picture of the team in their suite, and it looked like everyone had a great time. There are a few moments in the various pictures of the Sox that need paying attention to though, because they are hilarious.

Hanley fully committing and wearing a Bruins sweater can’t go unnoticed. He’s decked out and so happy. The caption fully confronting the group therapy nature of the outing is pretty funny too.

The A’s didn’t miss a chance to flex a little about it, as they should.

Another player uploaded the group shot as well, with a more curious caption.

If you’re a Bruins fan you know that’s this year’s rallying cry, that hockey is in their blood. It’s a good hook but without context Joe Kelly, of all people, posting it makes it seem almost concerning. What’s in your blood Joe? Is whatever in your blood what caused this face?

Someone check Joe’s blood.

It’s the full photo of the team settled into their suite where things get really great though.

An incomplete list of things happening in this picture:

  • Hanley Ramirez gesturing to Craig Kimbrel’s soda with a concerning look on his face
  • Chris Sale eating a slice of pizza like an absolute champ who doesn’t care other people can see him
  • JD Martinez double tasking between eating a chip and texting with utmost intensity
  • Joe Kelly looking like he is contemplating the meaning of life and all the universe holds for humanity over the next few millennia.
  • Mitch Moreland straight up reading a magazine
  • Rafael Devers looking like someone just stole his seat but he knows he’s too young to say anything.

The best part of all, Hanley Ramirez turning down yummy snacks.

Now that’s how you do an off-day outing.
