Get ready for Day 2 of the College World Series.

Texas earned its 36th trip to the College World Series after beating Tennessee Tech, 5-2, in Game 3 of the Austin super regional. That’s far and away the NCAA record. The last time the Longhorns were in the World Series was in 2014. Arkansas scored 14 runs in its victory over South Carolina in Game 3 of the Fayetteville super, but not before getting blitzed by the Gamecocks in Game 2. The Razorbacks scored 10 runs in the first game of the series, however, so they do have some real firepower.
This side of the bracket is loaded with power hitting and formidable pitching staffs. Indeed, one gets the sense that whoever survives Bracket 2 has the best shot at the presumptive favorite on the other side, Oregon State. All of these games are appointment television for the invested college baseball fan.
