New York Yankees All-Star outfielder Aaron Judge will miss at least three weeks after suffering a chip fracture in his right wrist on Thursday night.
Aaron Judge out at least 3 weeks with a broken wrist
Yankees say no surgery is recommended for the All-Star outfielder.

Judge was hit by a pitch in the first inning of New York’s 7-2 win over the Kansas City Royals on Thursday night. He remained in the game until the fifth, when he was removed and taken for an MRI.
Test results showed a fracture of the ulnar styloid bone in his right wrist, the team announced after the game. The Yankees say no surgery is recommended at this time, but that it will be three weeks before Judge can swing a bat in a game situation.
Losing Judge is a big blow to the Yankees, since he is their best hitter. Judge, last year’s American League MVP runner-up and Rookie of the Year winner, is hitting .285/.398/.548 this season and leads New York in home runs (26), RBI (61), runs scored (70) and walks (68).
The Yankees do have a deep offense, leading the majors in home runs (163) and second in runs per game (5.19).
Whether they add anyone before Tuesday’s non-waiver trade deadline remains to be seen, but the Yankees and Boston Red Sox have already made upgrades to two of the strongest rosters in baseball. New York has traded for reliever Zach Britton and starting pitcher J.A. Happ in separate deals, and the Red Sox acquire starter Nathan Eovaldi.
New York (65-36) trails Boston (71-33) by 4½ games in the American League East. Those teams have two of the three best records in baseball, with the Houston Astros (67-37, .6442) only percentage points ahead of the Yankees (.6436). All three teams are on pace for over 100 wins.
