Major League Baseball unveiled its postseason schedule on Thursday, which revealed among other things that if the World Series goes a full seven games the championship will be decided on Halloween.

Ending on October 31 was pretty much a given with how postseason scheduled have worked out in the past, with the Fall Classic starting on a Tuesday and spread over a potential seven days, ending on a Wednesday. The 2017 regular season ended on Oct. 1 and the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers decided the World Series with a Game 7 on November 1. This regular season ends on September 30.
After that Sunday finale to the season, the Wild Card Games are played on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the National League on ESPN on Oct. 2 and the American League on TBS on Oct. 3.
TBS will televise the entirety of the AL playoffs, through the American League Championship Series, with both American League Division Series starting on Friday, Oct. 5. The ALCS starts on Saturday, Oct. 13.
Both NL Division Series will begin on Thursday, Oct. 4, televised by Fox Sports 1 or MLB Network. The NLCS starts on Friday, Oct. 12 and will be broadcast by Fox and FS1.
The World Series starts on Tuesday, Oct. 23 in the home of the team with the best record among the two pennant winners.
