Reds fan storms field, does a backflip, immediately gets tased in chaotic scene

Storming the field is always an act of stupidity, even when you pull off a perfect backflip.

A fan ran on the field during a game between the Cleveland Guardians and Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night at Great American Ballpark. Storming the field wasn’t enough: the fan was also determined to do a backflip. He pulled it off just before being hit the taser and carried off the field in handcuffs.

The Guardians beat the Reds, 5-3, in Cincinnati to win the opener of the two-game set. Cleveland is riding high at the top of the AL Central to start the season, while the Reds fall to three games under .500 with the loss.

Let’s be clear about one thing: it’s stupid and dangerous to run onto the field at a sporting event. It’s also disrespectful to the athletes on the field. I’ll only say one nice thing about the fan in Cincinnati on Tuesday night: the man can do a really clean backflip. Watch the video here:

Here’s another angle:

Getting hit with a taser is no fun. This genius thought he could run away from security after successfully pulling off the backflip, and it turns out he couldn’t. That’s going to hurt in the morning.

The Reds lost and so did this fan. Nice backflip though, bro.
