UFC 128 Fight Card Preview: Urijah Faber Vs Eddie Wineland

Urijah Faber vs. Eddie Wineland

Urijah Faber just has too much to lose if he doesn't show up in this fight. With a possible coaching gig on 'The Ultimate Fighter' parlaying into a title fight with bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz looming overhead, Faber isn't about to drop one right now. I also like that he has another Team Alpha Male member in Joseph Benavidez fighting on the card. I like to believe that makes a difference.

Even with this being Faber's UFC debut, I can't see him falling prey to the notorious UFC jitters. He's been the main event for major shows too many times to count and should be used to the pressure and attention. Eddie Wineland is a dangerous fighter, but I don't think he has enough to get it done against someone like Faber. Faber has an edge in every department. It's a safe bet we see him getting his title shot after tonight.

My prediction: Faber
