Bellator 38 Results: D.J. Linderman Batters Raphael Davis Over Three Rounds
This is the live blog for D.J. Linderman vs. Raphael Davis. Linder is 8-1 in MMA, and riding a three-fight winning streak. Davis is 10-1 in MMA, and hasn’t lost since September of 2006. This is the third quarterfinal fight of the light heavyweight tournament.
Round 1 - The referee for this bout is Jason Herzog. They trade punches to open. Linderman shrugs off a takedown attempt. Nice jab from Linderman. Left hand to the body. Clinch, and Davis lands a good knee. Thai plum now, and Davis is landing very good knees. Punches to the body. Linderman disengages. Davis ducks under a punch for a takedown, but he eats follow up punches from Linderman. Thai clinch up against the fence for Davis. Good knee to the body. And another. Nice uppercut. Linderman responding with punches. Big knee to the head from Davis. Linderman having a tough time dealing with the Thai clinch. Another big knee. Linderman grabs a hold of a leg and puts Davis on the mat. Front headlock, Davis gets back to his feet, and they disengage. Big punches from Linderman. Davis presses him up against the fence. Ninety seconds left in the round. Off the fence now. Linderman landing with the left hand. Nice right from Linderman, and he follows up with a knee to the body. Inside leg kick from Davis. Nice left hand from Linderman. He has Davis hurt. Linderman grabs the neck and drops down for a guillotine. Davis pops his head free, and the round ends.

This is the live blog for Chris Davis vs. Christian M’Pumbu. Davis is 10-2 in MMA, and enters this fight on a three-fight winning streak. M’Pumbu is 15-3-1 in MMA, and lost his last fight to Yoshiyuki Nakanishi at DEEP 47.
Round 1 - Our referee for this bout is Mike Cain. M’Pumbu opens with a leg kick. The two trade punches in wild exchanges. M’Pumbu grabs the Thai plum and lands a knee to the body. He loses the position and Davis has him up against the fence. M’Pumbu spins, lands a knee, and then puts Davis on the mat with a single leg. M’Pumbu with punches, but Davis grabs his leg and puts M’Pumbu on the mat. M’Pumbu look for a knee, but he doesn’t get it. Davis ends up on his back in the scramble. One hook in, but he transitions into mount. Halfway through the round. Davis lands a couple good punches before M’Pumbu gives up his back. Big punches now in a half-mount. M’Pumbu escapes into guard. He’s got a triangle. Adjusts the position, but still doesn’t have the position. Davis stacks and forces M’Pumbu to give it up. Guard now. Ten seconds left. The round ends with Davis on top.
