UFC Fight Night 24 Results: Nik Lentz Guillotines Waylon Lowe Out Of Nowhere

The first fight at UFC Fight Night 24 is Waylon Lowe vs. Nik Lentz. This is a lightweight (155lbs) fight between two fighters who prefer wrestling and Greco clinching to striking or guard games. Lentz comes into this bout with a less than inspiring performance against Andre Winner. Waylon Lowe enters this contest after having a respectable showing against Willamy Freire.

It was a fight Lentz was on his way to losing. Down two rounds to one, Lentz was being dominated in every aspect of the game by a superior athlete. Lowe was controlling the where the fight took place with superior wrestling. He was also landing the harder, more damaging shots, especially in the third round.

Then came a tactical error. Lowe shot in, but Lentz, still hunting for the win, managed to sink in a guillotine choke and out of nowhere, force the top.

UFC Fight Night 24 results: Nik Lentz defeated Waylon Lowe via submission (guillotine choke) at 2:234 of round 3.
