UFC Fight Night 24 Results: Christian Morecraft Standing Guillotines Sean McCorkle

The first Facebook fight is a heavyweight tilt between Christian Morecraft and Sean McCorkle. Both fighters have a common opponent in Stefan Struve. McCorkle was looking to rebound after a quick loss to Struve and Morecraft is looking to do precisely the same.

The referee for this action is Anthony Hamlett.

ROUND 1 - Both fighters standing orthodox, Morecraft starts early with an outside leg kick. He then lunges in with a hard right and clinches with McCorkle. From double underhooks McCorkle gets a trip takedown against the fence and is now working from Morecraft’s guard. Morecraft sat back for a kneebar, but it went nowhere. However, it did allow Morecraft to get on top. Morecraft working now from McCorkle’s half guard and unloading big elbows. Morecraft stands back out of McCorkle’s guard and kicks the legs of his downed opponent. The referee strangely refuses to stand them up and Morecraft eventually stars more ground and pound, now in side control on McCorkle.

ROUND 2 - Morecraft reaching on his strikes and gets to the clinch position against the fence. Huge punches now from Morecraft against the fence and a whizzer saves Morecraft on a failed head toss. Morecraft working now in side control against the fence. McCorkle’s bleeding now on what appears to be his forehead. Morecraft backs out and McCorkle is able to stand, but Morecraft presses McCorkle into the fence. In what appears to be an inadvertent groin shot, Morecraft nails McCorkle and the fight is temporarily stopped. Right hand lands now for McCorkle as the fight resumes and Morecraft stops a shot. McCorkle is now being standing guillotine and goes out cold.
