UFC Fight Night 24 Results: Amir Sadollah Bodies DaMarques Johnson To Second Round Stoppage

The second fight on the Spike TV broadcast of UFC Fight Night 24 is Amir Sadollah vs. DaMarques Johnson. Sadollah was orginially slated to fighter Duane Ludwig, but he was forced to withdraw due to injury. James Wilks was also scheduled to fight Sadollah, but he, too, was forced to withdraw due to injury.

The referee in charge of the action is Mario Yamasaki.

ROUND 1 - Sadollah takes the center of the cage, but slips on a kick. Johnson ends up on top in side control. Sadollah is able to stand and the fighters start over in the center. Sadollah throws a push kick, misses and Johnson uses the caught kick to drive Sadollah back to the mat. Johnson trying to advance position, but nothing doing. He’s also largely unable to land any ground and pound. Left hook from Sadollah drops Johnson, but he recovers immediately. Hard outside head throw lands for Johnson, but Sadollah stands back up. Now Johnson gets taken down by Sadollah close to the cage. Johnson attempts a triangle, but nothing doing.

ROUND 2 - Hard knee for Sadollah lands and the two exchange hard punches against the fence. Two left hooks land for Johnson, one of those to the body. Hard knee to the body partially folds Johnson and now Sadollah is working on top on the floor in Johnson’s half guard. Hard shots on top now from Sadollah and Johnson is struggling to stay alive in this round. Very hard knees to the body from Sadollah, but Johnson manages to stand. Authoratative outside trip from Sadollah leads to mount and now Sadollah is just crushing him. The referee stops the fight.
