The fighters clinch against the fence with Masvidal doing a much better job of finding underhooks. Attempted throw by Evangelista, but Masvidal whizzers hard and stops it. Masvidal lands some nice body shots and moves out of the way well before over committing on punches and being taken down. Masvidal stands and both fighters lands strikes in the clinch fight. ROUND 2 - Evangelista working at the end of Masvidal’s range. Knee tap takedown by Evangelista, but Masvidal whizzers hard and stands up immediately. Masvidal catches another kick and trips Evangelista to the floor. Both fighters stand after Masvidal stands up and out. Nice jabs from Masvidal. Body shot from Masvidal. Masvidal moving out of the way of Evangelista aggressive position changes. Hard straight right now from Masvidal. Double leg takedown now for Masvidal, but Evangelista is able to stand. More jabs from Masvidal and head movement as he gets out of the way of Evangelista’s counters.

ROUND 3 - Masvidal jabs and again, moves out of the way of Evangelista’s counters. Evangelista attempts a single leg and drives Masvidal into the fence, but he pushed Evangelista off and landed a hard elbow. Hard right hand lands for Masvidal as Evangelista attempted an outside leg kick. Another right for Masvidal plus excellent trunk movement and positional awareness from Masvidal. Failed single leg attempt by Masvidal. Evangelista still outside of range as the fight draws to a close. Evangelista attempts takedown but it’s easily stuffed.
