ROUND 1 - Both fighters standing orthodox. Werdum attempts a head kick, but Overeem shrugs him off after that and a clinch attempt. Overeem easily sprawls to stuff Werdum. And again Overeem sprawls two more times. This is going on and on. Knee to the midsection by Overeem. Werdum tries to pull guard by Overeem backs out. Again Werdum tries it, but Overeem stands back out. Jabs landing for Werdum, but Overeem frustrated by Werdum’s approach. Hard left hook drops Werdum, but Overeem won’t follow. Right hand for Werdum. Trip slam by Overeem sends Werdum crashing to the mat. Hard knee from Overeem. Werdum pulls guard at the end of the round, but nothing doing.
