Amir Khan Vs. Zab Judah - Roger Mayweather Lobs Steroid Accusation At Khan

Roger Mayweather is part of a defamation lawsuit by Manny Pacquiao for making accusations that the Filipino superstar was on steroids. Rather than decide that it just might be time to shut up about the whole thing, Roger is at it again. This time throwing Amir Khan’s name in the mix when talking about Manny.

From an interview with The Examiner:

“The only reason Amir Khan has become the fighter he is, is because he’s got those steroids in his ass too. The same thing Pacquiao’s got in him. I know because those motherf***ers told me,” Roger retorted.

Bold accusations but to know Roger you shouldn’t be surprised. Pressing him for more details on who exactly was dishing out the info to him, he claims to have gotten close to a few members from Team Pacquiao.

“Motherf***ers from Pacquiao’s camp, that’s who. I talk to them dudes all the time.”

Amir, to his credit, chose to address the accusation head-on in talking with The Daily Star:

“I have been drug tested every time - so many times I’ve lost count. And I have never failed one of them. Ihave been tested out of training camp and in training camp - even answering unexpected knocks at my door to comply. I have proved I am a clean fighter.”

Amir goes on to tell a story of having been tested in his home in an unannounced fashion before his bout with Paul McCloskey.

Now, unless we’re talking blood testing, none of these tests prove much of anything other than that fighters aren’t on the basic drugs that are easy to pick up on a urine test.

Still, it’s a bit past time for Roger Mayweather to keep his mouth shut when it comes to baseless steroid accusations.
