UFC 209 fight card: Full list of matches at Woodley vs. Thompson 2

Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson will face off again for the UFC welterweight title at UFC 209.

On the heels of the announcement that the UFC would be getting its greatest welterweight of all time, Georges St-Pierre, back in the octagon in the near future, the title that he held and defended for so long will be up for grabs at UFC 209: Woodley vs. Thompson 2.

While St-Pierre will be moving up to middleweight to fight for that title, Stephen Thompson will make his second attempt at landing St-Pierre’s former belt when he takes on Tyron Woodley for the second time in as many fights.

Woodley won the title when he knocked out Robbie Lawler at UFC 201 in July 2016. He then defended his title against Thompson at UFC 205 in November, but the fight ended in a majority draw. The rules of a draw mean Woodley retained his title, and a rematch was quickly scheduled.

It was a back-and-forth fight and it wasn’t surprising to see a draw called.

Many felt that St-Pierre would make his return against the winner of Saturday’s headliner, but that’s not the case. Presumably, either Woodley of Thompson will move on to fight a new challenger after UFC 209.

The main card will also feature a middleweight bout between Rashad Evans and Dan Kelly, in addition to a heavyweight bout between Alistair Overeem and Mark Hunt. The preliminary card includes some bigger names like Darren Elkins and Iuri Alcantara.

Below is the full UFC 209 fight card as well as viewing information and everything you need to know to watch the event on Saturday.
