UFC 212: Start time, TV schedule for Aldo vs. Holloway

Jose Aldo and Max Holloway will fight for the UFC featherweight title at UFC 212: Aldo vs. Holloway on Saturday.

Since Conor McGregor took the division by storm and moved up a weight class, the UFC featherweight division has been lacking a true champion. Officially, that champion is José Aldo, who beat Frankie Edgar in an interim featherweight title match and was later promoted to undisputed champion.

And since then, Max Holloway has been named the interim featherweight champion. Now Aldo and Holloway will headline Saturday’s UFC 212: Aldo vs. Holloway pay-per-view event. The prelims are set to get underway at 6:30 p.m. ET on UFC Fight Pass, will continue on free television via Fox Sports 1 at 8 p.m. and will give way to the main card at 10 p.m.

A live stream of UFC Fight Pass, the other prelims and the pay-per-view itself will be available via UFC.TV, the UFC YouTube channel and the UFC app on various platforms.

Aldo beat Frankie Edgar to earn the belt at UFC 200, winning a unanimous decision. His previous fight was a knockout loss to McGregor. It’s the second loss on Aldo’s resume. Holloway’s last fight was a TKO win over Anthony Pettis for the interim belt at UFC 206.

His last loss was back in 2013 when he fell to McGregor. Obviously, McGregor casts a big shadow over the division, but Aldo and Holloway are still genuinely two of the best fighters in the world at this time.

The co-main event will feature Cláudia Gadelha taking on Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the women’s strawweight division. Both women have lost to Joanna Jędrzejczyk in recent times, with it being the second-to-last fight for Gadelha and the last fight for Kowalkiewicz.

The main card will also feature a middleweight match between Vitor Belfort and Nate Marquardt. Belfort is still one of the most dangerous and feared strikes in the UFC.

The Fight Pass preliminary card contains three fights, and another four will take place on the Fox Sports 1 card. The preliminary card will be headlined by a bout between Marlon Moraes and Raphael Assunção.
